You keep having the same fight over and over.
Attempts to communicate quickly turn into arguments.
One person pursues while the other shuts down.
Trust has been shaken and it has not fully come back.
Emotional distance keeps growing quietly.
The relationship feels stagnant even though there is still love.
Most couples are not short on love. They are short on skills nobody ever taught them.
Love Is Not Enough™ is our Self Help LA Relationship Community.
It is an ongoing learning environment for couples who want practical relationship skills, not another round of the same argument.
Members get live practitioner instruction, structured tools, self paced video learning, and collective learning from other couples working on the same things.
Some couples join because they are not ready for private couples counseling. Others have finished private relationship work and want continued support and accountability. Both are welcome here. The teaching is built on The M.I.N.D. Method™, and many members start with the free RRIM™ relationship assessment to see their pattern before their first live session.
It is consistent practice for the relationship you are actually in.

One of the most powerful ways human beings learn has almost been forgotten. For thousands of years we have learned from the tribe.
We grew up surrounded by parents, grandparents, brothers, sisters, aunts, uncles and other families living around us. Together, those people formed the village.
It takes a village.
We learned through exposure and immersion. We watched how other people handled conflict, raised their children, solved problems, recovered from mistakes, and shared what their own experience had already cost them.
Today, many people no longer have that tribe. Families are scattered, generations are separated, and couples struggle privately behind closed doors.
So we are intentionally recreating the relationship tribe, where you learn from a trained Self Help LA practitioner AND from each other.
Learn quickly. See clearly. Change faster.
Not just information. A tribe learning how to build better relationships together.
You are no longer learning from one point of view. You may be learning from five, ten or twenty people bringing different experiences, mistakes and victories into the same room.
That collective experience condenses time. Instead of discovering every lesson the hard way, you learn from what others have already lived through.
Show Up Live
Meet once a week, live online.
Led by a Self Help LA practitioner with extensive experience working with couples every week for years.
Learn + Ask
Learn the relationship concept or tool, bring a real situation, ask questions, and hear questions you may have never thought to ask.
Practice Between Sessions
Use the tools during the week, continue learning inside the community, and return to supporting lessons and resources in Skool.
2009
Since 2009, helping people create emotional and behavioral changes in their relationships.
17
Years of experience working with real couples on communication, trust and conflict.
The community is taught by practitioners from the Self Help LA team, the same practitioners working directly with couples in our offices every week.
The same structured principles, tools, protocols and frameworks used privately with couples. This is not generic relationship content pulled from the internet.

The M.I.N.D. Method™ by Armando Perez is the methodology underneath what is taught.

“I feel like I learned so much on our first session already about the cycles that we both fall into over and over and why things aren't working and fall back into the same routine.”

How to talk about difficult subjects without immediately triggering the old argument.
The difference between hearing words and actually understanding meaning.
How couples resolve disagreement instead of repeatedly reopening it.
Why each person reacts the way they do under pressure.
How couples move from opposition into alignment.
What damages trust, what strengthens it and what behaviors create evidence over time.
The framework underneath how Self Help LA approaches recognition and behavioral change.
Shared goals, future vision and deliberately building the relationship instead of merely reacting to problems.
Learn at your own pace, revisit important concepts, and strengthen the foundational relationship skills we teach every day.
Watch. Learn. Practice. Revisit.
Some lessons become far more useful after you experience a real conversation and recognize your own pattern inside it.
The library stays available to you between the live sessions, so you can return to the material exactly when you need it.

Hosted on Skool
Our Relationship Community is hosted on Skool, a private online platform where members access live sessions, relationship lessons, practical tools, discussions, resources and community support in one place.
Because the community meets online, it serves couples across California and beyond. Weekly training is led by Self Help LA practitioners connected to our Downey and Santa Ana offices, serving Whittier, Pico Rivera, and surrounding communities.

Your Access Starts Immediately
As soon as you join as a Founding Member, you can enter the private community, start with the lessons already published in the growing on demand learning library, explore the member resources, and see the calendar for the first live class.
Weekly live training begins October 6, 2026, is held on weeknights, and is recorded, so you can continue learning even when you cannot attend live.
If your relationship is in serious crisis, dealing with recent betrayal, having separation or divorce conversations, or living in highly escalated conflict, private attention is usually the better starting point. Many couples begin privately and then join the community to keep the progress going.
